
Vehicles & Equipment
The Rollins Volunteer Fire Department is well-equipped to respond to wildland and structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and other emergencies and incidents in our district. Our fleet consists of 9 vehicles including 2 Structure Engines, 4 Wildland Engines, a Water Tender, a Command Vehicle and a Wildland Side by Side. Structure Engine
Details: This vehicle is our primary engine for responding to structure fires and motor vehicle accidents It is equipped with the Jaws of Life, vehicle stabilization equipment and SCBAs. It also comes equipped with a standard hose and a water load for a Type 1 engine with 4WD capacity and an automatic chain system.

Structure Engine
Details: This Type 1 vehicle has a shorter wheel base with a tighter turning radius affording us greater maneuverability. It has a standard hose and a 900 gallon water capacity.

Wildland Engine
Details: This vintage wildland vehicle is very similar to 1113 in its wildland firefighting response capabilities.

Wildland Engine/Tender
Details: This engine serves as a water tender and one of our wildland fire responses. It has a 1200 gallon water capacity including pump and roll capability with dual hose reels. Also, equipped with an electric quick dump with a 1000 gallon portable tank.

Details: This is equipped for wildland fire response including foam nozzles and additional wildland firefighting tools.

Water Tender
Details: This engine is our main water tender with 1800 gallon water capacity that can assist in both structure fires and wildland response. Also, equipped with two 1000 gallon portable tanks, electric quick dump and portable pump capability.

Command Vehicle
Details: This is our command vehicle that is typically our first response on scene. It is equipped with traffic control signage, cold fire extinguishers, first aid, AED and other first responder equipment.

Wildland Engine
Details: This is a new wildland engine equipped with everything we need for wildland incidents. It has pump and roll, foam, winch on the front and is well equipped for effective response.
Wildland Side-by-Side
Side By Side
Details: This vehicle has been very effective with scouting in the backcountry and getting to remote areas where fires can occur. It is equipped with a water tank and hose for initial attack.
Other Essential Equipment
We have 4 complete sets of Ice Rescue equipment and an ice rescue sled. In addition, we have the Jaws of Life for MVA extrications and several sets of SCBAs for assisting with Structure Fires.
